 SS TOTENKOPF GROUP DKiG WINNER HEINI SPECK Direct from the family, comprises:-
two photo albums, sports award book, awards, an SS ring, and Specks Heer dagger!
The first album is an SS gedenk-buch or memories book,
designed to accommodate the family tree and family pictures,
in actual fact the album traces Specks career through 13company Rgt.Germania. opening page shows 2 superb portrait photos as rottenfuhrer and sturmann with SS2 tabs, album continues with many shots of Speck and his comrades during 35/36 in many different types of uniform, all pages are captioned by Speck, images of early helmets, officers, Hitlers yacht, Reichsparteitag 1936,Bad Tolz,full company photos,94 photos in total. The second album is of Specks Totenkopf career, the first page shows Speck as Obersturmfuhrer wearing his DKiG, and also has runes and TK artistically hand applied in crayon, inside cover has a loose large photo of TK men in a bar, album proceeds with some tourist type shots, then on to some heavy artillery pieces, then into action in Poland, armoured vehicles, blown bridges, burned out buildings, Jews,
artillery emplacements, tanks, smashed convoys, SS graves,
snow conditions,leave photos, officers, Russian front, officer grave, downed aircraft, mg42s, massacred russians, Eicke, stukas, Speck photos at the Front, and then many photos showing Speck on convalescing leave wearing the dagger and his DKiG won at Demyansk, final images show his Kameraden graves, over 135 photos in all and there is an additional 40 odd loose photos.
Specks sports award book is completed, the inside cover has his photo as Sturmann, 13/SS "Germania" Born 1915, all diciplins have been stamped with the VT Germania stamp,
and is completed jan `37.
Included in the group is tin containing, a silver/enamel SS ring, which he can be seen wearing in one or two of the photos.
A SS cloth Sports badge for the sports vest which has been removed.
His EK2, with ribbon, and his Ost front award and ribbon.
His black wound badge and his NSDAP badge.
The jewel in the crown has to be Specks HEER! dagger,
with many photos of him actually wearing the one and same piece!! Why he had a Heer dagger instead of SS who knows?
But for sure he did!
The dagger is in excellent condition with almost all plating remaining, and nice darkening to the pommel recesses, grip is undamaged, the reverse cross-guard is beautifully engraved with his name h SPECK with leaves decoration below, the blade is bright, and shows some lifting to the plating on both sides.
Dagger is completed with a portepee knot (replaced since the photos).

 ATTRIBUTED WIKING OFFICER WAFFEN SS TUNIC!!!!!!!!!! Originally obtained from the family by Andrew Mollo in the 1960s the tunic was sold by him to a London collector in the early 70s it has since remained in an English collection to this day. The tunic is an M37 Field-Grey Drill Blouse, and belonged to Karl Bohmer KIA 1942 Russia, also obtained by Mollo was Bohmers visor hat and his SS officer tunic (featured in Mike Beavers book Uniforms of the Waffen SS pgs 204-207)
The tunic is in undamaged condition showing one or two brown stains and some light sweat staining and appears only lightly worn. The tunic retains an O/Rs Runic 1 tab with officer cord applied, the rank tab is matching and is ranked to Hauptsturmfuhrer, both tabs are hand applied, behind the collar can be observed the remains of some NCO black and silver twist cord, also the concealed button hole tag for neck closure. The shoulder boards are non SS type and are pink based with silver wired facing and gilt pips, also is the gothic A gilt device for panzer Jaeger (anti tank) one pip is broken off, the retaining buttons are RZM SS marked dated 1939 as are the buttons to the breast pockets, the front closure buttons are maker marked and again dated 1939, the period applied concealed button is sewn behind the left lapel, the sleeve eagle is an early so called hammer head type with wool backing and is factory machine applied, to the cuff below is a flat wire Deutschland cuff title which is hand applied, inside the jacket is complete with all ties and straps also the factory applied Drell- Jacke RZM oil cloth remains intact.
In addition to the tunic comes with Obersturnfuhrer Bohmers Original citation for the 1st October Medal, also included is documentation regarding Bohmers SS career, Deinstlaufbahn, letters, and other archive copies and photos of Bohmer.
Bohmer born Jan 1912 graduated at SS Braunschweig 1936, Obersturmfuhrer Deautschland 1938, Panzer Jaeger-Kp Fuhrer 1940, 1941 Hauptsturmfuhrer SS Wiking, Chief of 2. SS Panzer Jaeger Abt.5, finally commanding a Sturmgeschutze battery SS-Div.WIKING.
